On your way home, get some groceries and make a new recipe that you’ve wanted to try for some time. If you need help, call over a friend or your neighbour and have a time eating the delicious food you made while making conversations.

If you’re an avid reader who has a lot of books piled up and they are untouched somewhere dusty and covered in spider webs, then it’s the right time to re-live those moments when you first read it. Speaking from personal experience, you can never read a book enough. Everytime you go back to it, you’ll find something new, that you missed out before because you were too young to understand. Unlock this new perspective today by opening your book yet again and enjoying the beautiful writings.

It’s a new year so making a vision board makes sense if you haven’t yet. Divide sections according to your needs and wants and make a list of things you want to achieve this year. Here’s a simple example of sections you can make: physical health: Drink more water, exercise often; maintain a journal; create boundaries; maintain spiritual well-being; travel; meditate; learn a new instrument, recipe, finances, etc.

10. Do at least 5 new things

So make a list of 5 new things that you can do, it could be something as small as watching a new genre, to going on a spontaneous date with a friend of your interest. Now remember you’re not forcing yourself to do new things because you’re suppose to have plans on Valentine’s day, Its more like taking Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to convince your mind to explore new things that you otherwise wouldn’t have due to lack of prioritization.

 11. Do a self-care day

Take Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to look into yourself and having a self-care day is one of the best ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day if you’re single. So show your love to your family and plan a dinner date. They will surely think it’s a waste of money but deep down, they’ll be happy to know that their child likes their company.
