There’s no doubt that Korean fashion is known worldwide, and not only their fashion but also their music, food, and culture are also very fascinating and making a trend in the distant corners of the world. And the epitome of Korean fashion is K-drama fashion. In this blog, we are going to discuss the best-dressed K-drama characters of all time—female lead edition!

Korean fashion is very popular. Have you ever wondered why? They can gracefully blend their traditional and modern twists into their outfits. Their fashion is very distinct from that of the West or even other parts of Asia. But their ability to pull off both daring styles that feature bold colours, fascinating textures, and creative designs and neutral shades with sophisticated style, luxurious texture, and an overall feminine feel is impeccable.

K-drama characters portray South Korean lifestyle, fashion, and culture effortlessly while making the plot interesting enough to get your ankles curled and feet kicking the air every time the characters display affection. But while you were busy watching the love blossom between the leads, you may have missed some K-drama fashion statements the female leads flaunted while winning our hearts with their cuteness and incredible acting.

K-Drama Fashion: Do Do-Hee from My Demon

1. Do Do-Hee from My Demon

We all swooned over Do Do-Hee’s K-drama fashion while watching My Demon. Even though almost everyone, including the male characters, had a great fashion sense in this drama, you can’t help but admire Do Do-Hee’s fashion sense, which she carries like a boss every time she walks in a room.

In the drama, her overall fashion can be defined as a sophisticated charm that she carries effortlessly. She’s seen wearing neutral colours, interesting textures, and intricate designs that take out her femininity gracefully. She also experiments with daring structured designs, with little accessories like stud earrings, wrist accessories, rings and designer handbags.

As for her K-drama outfits, she wears almost everything from business casual smart looks such as suits, trousers, skirts, formal tops and co-ords to appealing fits like dresses, crop tops and baggy jeans. Her K-drama fashion is all-rounded and can easily be taken inspiration from with the pieces you have at home or you can easily find them online at affordable prices.

K-Drama Fashion: Yoon Se-Ri from Crash Landing on You

2. Yoon Se-Ri from Crash Landing on You

Who doesn’t know Yoon Se-Ri from Crash Landing on You? Son Ye-Jin is always fashionable, no doubt, but her K-drama fashion looks in CLOY were mesmerising and we can’t get over it. She’s seen flaunting her designer bags and clothes while carrying impeccable confidence and charm.

Her style is again similar to most rich female leads, with pieces like structured blazers, elegant skirts, statement accessories, and nude makeup. She’s also seen wearing daring outfits with interesting designs and cuts that give her a rich, fashion-forward and sophisticated look.

K-Drama Fashion: Ko Moon-Young from It’s Okay to Not Be Okay

3. Ko Moon-Young from It’s Okay to Not Be Okay

Ko Moon-Young single-handedly carried the whole show with her fascinating, bold personality, which is rarely seen in K-dramas and again, her exquisite fashion, which no female fan could take their eyes off of. All her outfits were renowned brands from famous designers but you can easily replicate her style since she also flaunted many outfits that are colour neutral.

Her K-drama fashion is out of the box, which not many are comfortable with but the ones who are can take a glance at what she wears and how she always makes a statement.

Take a look at her hair; it’s also nicely parted and clean throughout the drama. Her makeup is also not distracting; in fact, it enhances her already gorgeous features. You will see her wearing heels 99% of the time in this drama and wearing accessories that make her stand out from the rest. Her outfits that have bold colours, interesting textures, a structured fit, and seamless designs also add to her effortless statement looks.

K-Drama Fashion: Hong Cha-Young from Vincenzo

4. Hong Cha-Young from Vincenzo

Hong Cha-Young is the epitome of cute but sassy! While in the drama, her character is bubbly, cute, and eccentric, her K-drama fashion tells us otherwise. But since it’s a great combination and she’s absolutely killin’ it, we are not complaining.

Hong Cha-Young flaunts business casual looks like the boss that she is and always leaves a statement with her black sunglasses. Most of her outfits include trousers, blazers, formal tops, and rich textures that give her the rich lawyer look.

Also, if you notice, her overall look is not distracting and very minimal but that doesn’t stop her from standing out. The reason is perfectionism. Whatever you wear or carry should be perfect. Apart from the fashion itself, hair, makeup, accessories and footwear also make a big difference.

K-Drama Fashion: Jang Man-Wol from Hotel Del Luna

5. Jang Man-Wol from Hotel Del Luna

She is my absolute favourite and if you have watched Hotel Del Luna, you’ll know why! Except for her name, everything about her is sheer perfection. Let’s be honest, the writers could have done better with her old-age name but it does make sense after all.

Her fashion in the drama is similar to that of Ko Moon-Young from IKTNBK and they’re no doubt the best choice to play strong roles. It’s like they were born to do it. Anyway, if you take a look at her fashion, the major thing that stands out is her over-the-top yet classy accessories, glam makeup, structured outfits, and fascinating colours and textures that she carries beautifully with utter elegance and confidence.

K-Drama Fashion: Yoon Hye-Jin from Hometown, Cha-Cha-Cha

6. Yoon Hye-Jin from Hometown, Cha-Cha-Cha

Yoon Hye-Jin is also one of my favourites and the first thing I loved about her was her polished fashion, which was simple yet so classy. She is mostly seen with light, clean makeup, minimal accessories, and neatly styled outfits that give her a rich, elegant vibe without going over the top.

What stands out about her fashion the most is her neat style. Whatever she wears or carries doesn’t look too distracted or clumsy. From head to toe, her looks are polished. She wears a lot of basic styles that you can find anywhere, such as oversized skirts, midi skirts, trousers, midi dresses, and minimal accessories with her favourite heels. (If you know what I mean, giggles!)

K-Drama Fashion: Ha Yeong-Eun from Now, We Are Breaking Up

7. Ha Yeong-Eun from Now, We Are Breaking Up.

This K-drama has the best fashion, hands down! If you love global fashion, you’ll get to see lots of it for free! What makes this K-drama fashion different is its global fashion style, which most dramas don’t focus on. In this drama, you can see even the male leads with impeccable fashion, which makes you doubt your own fashion game LOL.

You can see Ha Yeong-Eun flaunt her busy career girl vibes through her fashion, with mature styles that include textured trench coats, flared trousers, and simple accessories. What makes her stand out is her gorgeous choice of lipsticks, which are not too bold and give her a mature yet youthful look.

Not only the fashion but also, the plot is interesting, with lots of charm that you can experience through the screen. If you are keen to see K-drama outfits with a blend of Western fashion twists, this drama is THE ONE for you, where they cover global models, locations and the most romantic city in the world. Any guess?

K-Drama Fashion: Seo Dal-Mi from Start-Up

8. Seo Dal-Mi from Start-Up

Seo Dal-Mi’s fashion in Start-up can be defined as youthful, mature, and clean. She’s seen wearing business casuals most of the time, given the storyline of the drama—to grow her start-up. Her style is, however, easy to take inspiration from since her outfits are curated from basic clothing items that you can incorporate into your work fashion.

She wears plain shirts, structured blazers, trousers, pencil skirts, and basic heels. Her accessories are also basic, such as a simple watch, necklace, or earrings.

Seo Dal-Mi redefines fashion as something that doesn’t need heaps of money but can also be styled with affordable clothes gracefully with the right choice of colours, textures, and shapes.

K-Drama Fashion: Sung Deok-Mi from Her Private Life

9. Sung Deok-Mi from Her Private Life

Park Min-Young always takes us aback with her perfect style in almost all the K-dramas she has worked in! She has a gorgeous figure and a grace with which she carries all her outfits effortlessly.

In Her Private Life K-drama, she wears semi-formal styles with intricate feminine details like ruffles and frills for a put-together sophisticated look. She wears well-fitting clothing items that enhance her natural curves and create an appealing silhouette.

Sung Deok-Mi flaunts her style in bodycon dresses, well-fitted suits, neutral trench coats, bootcut jeans, and textured bodycon tops. She mostly wears neutral colours with neat hair and makeup that’s pretty easy to take inspiration from.

K-Drama Fashion: Jin Young-Seo from Business Proposal

10. Jin Young-Seo from Business Proposal

Last but not the least. Even though Jin Young-Seo is not the female lead of the business proposal, her fashion is enchanting. So I had to include her. She has that rich, fun, and sophisticated vibe with her fashion and always adds that extra factor to make her stand out.

As bubbly and youthful as she is in the drama, her fashion is mature and chic, balancing out her personality gracefully. She is mostly seen in feminine tops with ruffles, frills, and structured designs that do her figure absolute justice. She also wears a wide range of blazers, trench coats, and suits for a business casual smart look with simple accessories like earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces.

If you want to take inspiration from Jin Young-Seo’s fashion, be open to trying distinct designs and textures out there for a model-like fashion.
