Styling in itself is an art. Believe it or not, your famous fashion icons also have times when they re-wear their outfits and still slay every time. How so? Because they are confident!

We have all been blessed with a few pieces of clothing that could be worn again and again, with many versatile styles and always a statement.

Our fashion guide has been made with relevant research and revolves around the— “Basics, but make it trendy” motto!

1. Invest in The Basics

Investing in basic clothing items and accessories and making sure they’re of good quality can save you lots of money on future purchases. Since these basics can be used to craft your style in any way you like, pick them from good brands claiming durability and long life.

Purchase these Basic items:

  • A White and a Black T-shirt
  • Blue Jeans
  • A Black Bodycon Dress
  • A White Shirt
  • A Skirt
  • Black Trousers

Now, based on your personal preference, feel free to add or remove any of the basics mentioned above. For more help, you can check out this video.

2. Find your Style

This may seem like a tricky task, but don’t worry; we have got your back. To find your style, you must look at the following things:

  • Your Budget
  • Your Comfort/Confidence
  • Your Design Preference

First, don’t worry about your budget. Since we are only experimenting to find your style, you have to avoid spending as much as possible. Now, the question is how can you find your style without spending less money or no money at all? It’s pretty simple.

  • Wait for Sale or Try at Physical Stores: If you have limited savings, try out your favorite styles at a physical store and have a basic idea of your preference to buy later in a sale.
  • Borrow from friends or siblings. If you have anyone who has great style and, if given a chance, you can raid their wardrobe or at least a few pieces in a blink, then go borrow them. Try and return them.

Second, check if you feel comfortable with the clothes you shopped for or borrowed. It might be the case that you may not feel comfortable in tight, short, or sleeveless attire, but its look may boost your confidence. Consider such styles if looking fashionable is more important to you.

Finally, check for patterns and colors you like. Adding patterns to your outfit is a great way to look fashion-forward. Go with minimal patterns if you don’t like too bold ones.

3. Revolve your Style around Neutrals

No matter if you like neutrals or bold designs, styling yourself with neutrals as a base is always a good call. This will make you look more chic and put together.

For example, if you are going for beige as your base, you can choose brown, black, and white as your secondary colors for the outfit. This will give you a better idea of the footwear as well as the accessories.

4. Always Accessorize

Each outfit must be accessorized in the way you like—Minimal or Quirky.

Have some essentials ready with gold and silver accessories. You can choose to wear earrings, necklaces, rings, or a bracelet. It is best to go with two areas to accessorize at max that makes a subtle impact on your outfit and doesn’t make you look overloaded and clumsy.

5. Mind Your Footwear

Other than accessories, Good Quality Footwear elevates and adds greatly to your style. You can buy cheap clothes, but footwear must be delicate and dainty.

  • A pair of Casual sneakers
  • A pair of Nude heels
  • A pair of flats

Initially, these 3 options are enough to style your outfits, and you can always add to your collection with other footwear designs as and when needed.

6. Highlight Physical Features

Do you have a nice jawline or big eyes? Work your style according to your best features instead of always following the trend.

You can find styling guides according to your features online.

Also, to look effortlessly fashionable, a great skincare routine is a must.

With healthy skin and a “no-makeup” makeup look, you can look just like the gorgeous supermodels.

The basic skin care tips most supermodels follow are:

  • Staying hydrated
  • Wearing sunscreen
  • Maintaining a balanced diet
  • Morning and night routine
  • Quality sleep

7. Play with your Look

Don’t try too hard to fit in with a trend. Instead, make a trend. What makes celebrities’ styles so iconic is their willingness to get out of the box just to express, get creative, and accessorize, and their love for fashion, not a particular trend.

Play with colors, patterns, and different fabrics to better understand your personal style.
